Children’s rights recognizes that children require special protection since they are more vulnerable than adults. The United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child are based on:
- non-discrimination (the rights apply to all children)
- what is best for the child
- the right to live and grow in good health
- and the right for children to express their opinions
Children in Campbell River are being heard as the Children’s Charter Action Committee collects children’s voices to build the children’s charter for Campbell River.
